Crissy Mize is a nationally accredited ACSM certified personal trainer. She is also the founder of HeatWaveFitness LLC and creator of her own fitness format H.E.A.T.™.

Her passion for health and fitness started with her own weight loss journey. In 2012, Crissy set out to regain her life back and in 2 years lost 80lbs and became a group exercise fitness instructor. A year later she certified to become a personal trainer to help guide others on their own path to health and wellness.

Crissy’s fitness philosophy is centered around functional fitness, flexibility and mobility.

I want my clients to be able to apply and implement what they learn and gain at the gym into their everyday lives. I also want them to learn to love moving and challenging their bodies and appreciate the magnificent machines that they are!

Crissy is the mother to three beautiful two legged children-Summer, Jordan and Berek and two wonderful four legged children-Boomer and Lola.

How long have you been taking H.E.A.T.™?

I was encouraged by Angelyn Bennett to try a H.E.A.T.™ class in May 2016.

What do you love most about it?

I really enjoy the creativity and individuality of the various H.E.A.T.™ instructors and their workouts along with the introduction of weight training into my exercise workouts. The exercises are easy to follow, allow for modifications (if needed), and give you an intense workout in as little as 30 minutes. The H.E.A.T.™ instructors format was something I had never seen before. I enjoy being a part of a diverse exercise group of individuals and instructors that inspire, motivate, and support you on different levels.

How has H.E.A.T.™ helped your fitness journey ?

I have been active with cardio 5 days a week for several years, but with adding H.E.A.T.™ several times a week it allowed me to see more body transformation with muscle definition and strength. I was so excited about this added change to my fitness/health journey that I obtained my H.E.A.T.™   certification in October 2016, only 5 months after starting the classes.
